The objective of this paper is to identify the main determinants of coffee exports of Espírito Santo. The general for specific approach, developed for the London School of Economics (LSE), is used as methodological instrument. In the estimate of the equation of coffee exports were used two econometrical models: one in the linear form and another one in the double-logarithmic form (or log-log). The functional form that better was adjusted to the established criteria was the linear one. In according with the general for specific approach, the relevant variables for the coffee exports of Espírito Santo were the tax of real exchange, the price of conilon coffee, the domestic price, the coffee production of Espírito Santo, the production of world-wide coffee and the stock coffee of Brazil. The most important variable in the determination of exports of coffee was the exchange tax.Downloads
