This article aimed at measuring growth inequality of Brazilian agricultural production area from 1994 to 2010, in the context of Brazilian mesoregions, including discussions, on the back burner, about differences that originated in the period of 2006 to 2010. The employed data are from Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM), of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The cluster analysis and growth indicators were used to identify similarities between the Brazilian agricultural mesoregions. Results indicate a considerable growth of the agricultural area in Norte Mato-Grossense, Sul Goiano, Sudoeste de Mato Grosso do Sul, Extremo Oeste Baiano, Sudeste Mato-Grossense, Triângulo Mineiro/Alto Paranaíba, Nordeste Mato-Grossense, São José do Rio Preto, Sul Maranhense, and Norte Central Paranaense.Downloads
