Market analysis of common bean

This study aims to analyze the market of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), with setting forth to check production advances over the years, as well as the fluctuations in prices of recent years, in an attempt to detect reasons and contrarrazões to the “status quo” in prices. While methodological aspects, the survey was of a descriptive character. The data were extracted from the website of Embrapa rice and beans, CONAB and AGROLINK in 2016. While the price of 60 Kg bag of common bean was collected along the AGROLINK, which was used the national average price of beans (60 kg bag) for the analysis of the data. The main results show that the decrease in the acreage and the climatic factors of the various regions of Brazil influenced the increase in the price of common Bean significant (60 Kg bag) in 2015/16, which increased wound oscillate around 31.81% from 2005/06 to 2015/16. In the first months of 2017 the prospect’s improvements, however, will be in slow steps. Given this, it is suggested greater investment in public policy in the agrarian sector.Downloads
