Beans are a product with a lot of highlight in the economy of Paraná and Brazil, being an important alternative choice for smaller producers, besides the large acceptance by the consumer. Given its importance, it is aimed on this study to verify the sense of causality of the prices of beans between distinct levels of market in the state of Paraná, on the period from 2005 to 2015, through the application of Granger’s Test of Causality. The collected results may allow the consideration that the beans market shows oscillations of prices for the three segments and that it is mainly the wholesale that tends to initiate or cause the changes on prices.Downloads
