Analysis of non-tariff barriers to export beef

Brazil has a prominent role in the international beef trade, by its capacity to produce and export. But this market is increasingly demanding the fulfillment of sanitary standards and makes use of non-tariff barriers as a tool to preserve the safety of the food which are consumed. Through a literature review, this study aimed to identify the current restrictions on Brazilian product and government actions to dismiss them. The results showed that a significant market share has barriers and is necessary the adoption of effective measures to control the production process to ensure quality to consumers.Downloads
