This study aimed to analyze the seasonality of average prices received by wheat producers in the state of Paraná, Brazil in the period of January 2000 to December 2012. Therefore, this study adopted the methodology of 12-month centered moving geometric average. The results of this research show that wheat has price swings, which are usually related to the harvest season and the period between crops. However, such variations are moderate, so that the estimates of the seasonal indices and statistical test indicate the stability of the product price, and it can be concluded that wheat, in the state of Paraná, showed no seasonal variation in prices during the analyzed period.Downloads
