Transaction configurations for the alcohol in the Centre-North region

The entry of new producers is increasing the competition and forcing the commercial players to better coordinate production and distribution of alcohol. Due to this situation, the objective of this study is to identify the models of transaction configuration of the industrial production and distribution of alcohol. It was carried a qualitative research, a multicase study involving alcohol production plants in Goiás, Tocantins and Maranhão States. Transaction costs were employed as the main theoretical framework of this research. It was observed that two different transaction configurations that are used by the plants of the area exist.Downloads
