This article has as objective to evaluate the economic impact of the effective fulfilment of the forest legislation related to PPA and LR in rural properties. To do so, the percentuage of PPA and LR of the farms varied from 0% to 90%, taking into consideration production, prices and costs of reforestation destined to the charcoal production. The economic criteria applied were Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Return Rate (IRR), amongst others. It was concluded that for a discounting rate of 8,75% and land value of the R$ 2.000,00 ha-1, the forest activity only is viable for percentage of PPA and LR until 60%. For high percentage of PPA and LR in the farms, there must be some form of compensation for the forestry producer.Downloads
