Brazilian agribusiness contributes to the country's economy through its competitiveness and ability to generate foreign exchange. This sector is increasingly attracting the attention of multilateral organizations, policymakers, and civil society. The objective of this study was to evaluate the factors affecting milk productivity in Goiás. The dairy chain is of great importance to the country, especially for the state of Goiás, which makes it essential to understand the factors that lead to greater productivity in this activity. The study employs an exploratory and descriptive methodology, using secondary data from IBGE and through bibliographic research. Milk productivity in Goiás is influenced by several factors, including technical assistance, rural financing, the producers' profile, climatic variations, and infrastructure, among others. The quality of technical assistance and access to adequate financing are crucial for the modernization of dairy farms. Producer characteristics, such as education and experience, affect the adoption of new technologies. Climatic variations directly impact the health and performance of herds, especially during the dry season, which requires adequate management strategies. Investments in genetic improvement and the adoption of advanced technologies, such as automation and management systems, enhance efficiency. Improvements in infrastructure and sustainable production practices are essential for the development and sustainability of the state's dairy value chain.
