This study examines the rejections of agri-food
products broken down into two digits, using the UNIDO
database, a database little explored in economic literature.
The question we intend to answer is: which agricultural
products are most rejected by the world's largest importers for this productive segment? What is the cause of rejections? The evaluation of rejections from the United States (USA), European Union (EU), China, Australia, and Japan takes place in light of Reputational Barriers and Regulatory Compliance. Based on data analysis, it was observed that the United States leads among the five countries in terms of rejecting products from its trading partners. The countries that have the most rejected agricultural products are India, China, Mexico, USA, and Vietnam. The most rejected products are from the group of fish and crustaceans and cereal-based preparations.
