Comparison between cattle complexes

Abstract

This work shows the importance of beef cattle farming for the generation of the Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul State GDP, especially the Agroindustrial Complex (CAI) in the agribusiness structure of these states. The performance was verified from the estimate of a regional input-output matrix (MIP) for both states in 2013. The calculations were obtained using the methodology proposed for CAI estimation, where it pointed out the development of aggregate IV of trade and services, being above average of other sectors related to agribusiness. With the measurement of the GDP of the state, it was estimated the GDP of agribusiness in 47% for Mato Grosso and 37% for Mato Grosso do Sul, being that the agribusiness complex of beef cattle farming participates in 14.63% of the GDP of the economy of Mato Grosso and 12.90% of the state GDP of Mato Grosso do Sul.
