The main public policy for stimulating and supporting agriculture is the rural credit, and in the 2018/19 agricultural year it was made available through the Agricultural and Livestock Plan (PAP), totaling US $ 191.1 billion for this use. Several researchers over the years sought to understand and measure the effectiveness of this policy, generating a high value of knowledge for the country. That said, the present study aims to describe the national scientific production of rural credit policy through a systematic literature review. In addition, a current overview of this policy is presented with data from the Central Bank, 2017 Agricultural Census, and updated textbooks.Downloads
