Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the productive efficiency of Brazilian agribusiness companies belonging to several sectors, including sugar and alcohol, fertilizers and pesticides, cotton and grains, poultry and pigs, coffee, beef, milk and cellulose, machinery and equipment, nutrition and sanitation, oils, flours and preserves and textiles. The sample was composed of 212 companies. The average technical efficiency of the sample was 73.80% and the average scale efficiency was 80.60%.
