The objective of this study was to analyze the distribution of financial resources and the number of PRONAF Mais Alimentos contracts between the Brazilian federal units in the period from 2015 to 2017. In order to reach the proposed objective, the qualitative methodology was used, through the techniques of bibliographical and documentary revision. It was verified that there was an expansion in the amounts of financing and the number of contracts of this type of financing of Rural Credit in the country from 2015 to 2017. In relation to the access of this public policy among Brazilian family farmers, there is an inequality in distribution at the regional level. The South region is predominant both in the access of financial resources and in the number of contracts effected in the analyzed period. This factor can be directly related to the profile of the southern family farmer, who has an organizational capacity (consolidation of associations and/or cooperatives) differentiated in relation to the producers of other Brazilian regions. The Northeast and North regions stand out with the presence of federative units that have a lower level of access to the financial resource and also the contracts executed quantity of PRONAF Mais Alimentos during the analyzed period, which may be associated to factors such as low educational level of Northeastern family farmers and the deficit in the provision of ATER services in these localities.Downloads
