Such as Agriculture is highly influenced by climate and weather conditions, the knowledge of these conditions is fundamental for this sector. Considering mitigate then, was developed in 2002 and published in 2003, by web, the Agrometeorological Monitoring System - Agritempo granting free access to agrometeorological data of great interest for agriculture. However, public funds were used in developing the system needing to society know their returns. Aiming to know these impacts were analyzed the benefits from cost reduction and increased productivity in agriculture and labor to adopt the System. Considering the data of costs and benefits in the period from 2002 to 2014, it was found an IRR of 38.2%, the BC of 2.61 and the NPV of R$ 8,663,859.17. It was possible to verify non-monetary befits, such as: food safety, training, soil productivity and use of natural resources, generation and exchange of new knowledge, training of technical staff and external people, improvements in attracting new resources and political-institutional relationships. These favorable results prove the importance of Agritempo and the returns of resources in agricultural researchDownloads
