Abstract

The study aimed to assess the economic and financial viability of intensive grazing for beef cows and confinement of weaning the calves for slaughter . To perform the analyzes was used a model developed by Embrapa simulating a beef cattle production system and allows to evaluate the economic impact of different technologies. The assessed technology will allow the producer to obtain a free cash flow per hectare / year to R$ 857,27. It also allows a reduction of the used area of 125.29 million hectares beef cattle to 20,00 million hectares with a 0.5 ton of productivity carcass equivalent per hectare / year against 0.07 ton of carcass equivalent per hectare currently produced
