Abstract

This paper assesses the relationship between environmental certifications of the sugaralcohol sector of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, and the possible gains that they can allocate to this sector both economically, through the conquest of restricted markets that require certain standards for bioethanol, and financially, through credit programs aimed at sustainable development of this sector – and consequently of Brazil.
