Variables influencing the price of lands in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

Abstract

This research aims to identify the variables that influence the price of land, using as empirical context the reality of municipalities located in the mesoregion Northwest and Southeast of the Rio Grande do Sul State. Farmers, land registers and rural housing were interviewed, using a semi-structured form, observations and field diaries for data collection. For data analysis, was used the qualitative technique called content analysis. For quantitative analysis the Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression method were used. The results presented come from two realities and distinct cultures of land use, changing the perception of land´s value by the wealth aggregation resulting from soybean crops.
